Trump supporters have been spotted sporting shirts bearing a message that reads “Black Lives Matter” and the hashtag #BlackLivesMatter, which is trending on Twitter right now.
It’s been trending in the US for the past few days, and the shirt was apparently spotted in front of Trump Tower in New York City.
We’ve reached out to the manufacturer for comment.
The shirt was reportedly sold by the company to a Trump supporter for $15,000.
The company is also selling shirts with the slogan “Trump shirt is racist,” which is also trending on the social media platform.
According to a press release, the company was told to “reconsider” the slogan, and that the shirts “should not be sold” by Trump because they “serve no purpose.”
The shirt is clearly an example of how the #Blacklivesmatter movement is using social media to spread its message.
The company’s Twitter account tweeted that the company would be “making a change” to the shirts.
We have reached out for comment from the company.
Update: The company has responded to Ars via Twitter, telling us that the tweets were “inaccurate.”
“We did not have any discussions with the media about this and the statements attributed to us were not accurate.
We will not allow this to be misinterpreted as us being a supporter of Trump.
It is important to understand that the @trump shirts are a reflection of our values, and we will not tolerate this type of racist rhetoric,” the company wrote.
