3 women have been charged in the New York City borough of Queens after they allegedly dressed as Santa Claus for a Halloween party, authorities said Wednesday.
According to the Queens District Attorney’s office, officers were called to the house of one woman after she allegedly tried to sneak out of the house in the early hours of Nov. 30.
The woman told officers she was trying to sneak in a closet, but when she opened the door, she saw a man dressed as a Santa Claus, the office said.
The suspect was wearing a Santa suit, a blue shirt and a red wig, and the suspect allegedly was yelling “HOLY CRAP!”
Police said they arrested 22-year-old Mariam Lassiter, 21-year in custody, and 22- year-old Sarah Lee Lassit.
All three were charged with one count of criminal possession of a weapon, and Lassiti was released from jail on a $10,000 bond, according to the office.
The women are scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday.
